Deductible is building AI agents that help consumer brands resolve deductions from retailer and distributor payments. We start with UNFI and KeHE: our agents investigate deductions, gather supporting records and prepare disputes. We file each dispute for you, after a Deductible expert approves.
We’re looking for a technical co-founder to help decide what we build, build it, and shape the company alongside the founder.
What you’ll do
Own the technical direction and build the product from early customer workflows into reliable software.
Build agents that work with messy documents, connect evidence and explain their conclusions.
Make thoughtful decisions about architecture, data security and where human review belongs.
Talk to customers, understand how they work and turn that understanding into useful product decisions.
Help build the engineering team and its working culture as we grow.
What we’re looking for
You’ve shipped software that people use and can take a product from an unclear problem to a working solution. You’re comfortable moving between the interface, backend, integrations and infrastructure. You bring practical judgment about AI: where it helps, how to evaluate it and what to do when it gets things wrong. You care about reliability without losing the ability to move quickly.
Most of all, you want the responsibility of building a company. You communicate directly, challenge assumptions and follow through. Experience with financial workflows, document processing or enterprise software is useful, but isn’t required.

We’re early and bootstrapped. This is an equity-only opportunity, with no salary or benefits yet. We’ll discuss equity, responsibilities and commitment together.
You can start part-time, based in Bangalore or working remotely.
